Climate
Bermuda enjoys a sub-tropical climate that keeps the average temperature at 70 degrees F. It's rarely below 55 degrees in the winter and rarely above 87 degrees in the summer. Rainfall averages approximately 4.5" a month with no real rainy season.
Clothing and Attire
Light summer clothing is recommended for spring, summer and fall. Winter evenings can be a little cool, so pack a light sweater or jacket. Shorts worn in public should not be cut higher than an inch above the knee. Casual sportwear is accepted most everywhere. Tennis players should wear white shorts or white tennis shirts, and white socks and tennis shoes. Proper attire is also required on the golf courses. Shorts must be of Bermuda length - cut just above the knee - and shirts must have collars.

Americans and Canadians: Travel to Bermuda requires a round-trip or onward ticket, along with proof of identification: either a passport or, an original birth certificate and an official photo I.D. Passports can be obtained by U.S. citizens through the post office; allow up to six weeks when applying. Citizens of the United Kingdom: You'll need a valid passport for visits of up to 30 days.
Customs and Duties
Register cameras and electronic equipment with customs officials at your home port or airport of departure. This will eliminate any import problems you might encounter on your return. You may take into Bermuda, duty free, 50 cigars, 200 cigarettes, one pound of tobacco, one quart of liquor, and one quart of wine. Returning home, U.S. Citizens may take up to $400 worth of goods, duty free; Canadian Citizens, $300; and Citizens of the United Kingdom, £136. All customs taxes are included in a travel ticket.
